A Message from Our Principal, Mrs. Holmes
Canceled Events
As many of you know, this year has been an interesting one. We had several inclement weather days that impacted the number of instructional days. For this reason, I had to make some decisions about events for this school year. We will still have fun, but we must stay focused on teaching and learning. Our career day program has been canceled. Several of you filled out the information for "Operation Safe Kids" with the secret service. They were one of the organizations presenting during our career day program. These documents will be discarded to protect any personal information. We plan to have them come in the 25-26 school year. I truly appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Additionally, we will not have our color run this year. The color run typically takes place at the end of March or early April. Due to the number of inclement weather days, we will not have this event. We will have several other events, however, after Milestones testing.
Field Trip
We are still having our K-2 field trip on March 26th to the Atlanta Gladiators.
The goal is to leave by 8:45 so we can be there and seated before 10. The game is scheduled to start at 10:30 AM.
Remember, if we bring something into the venue, it will need to be in a clear bag.

Lost and Found
I also want to remind families to please come and check out the lost and found. We have a lot of coats and jackets in our bins. I will remove these items at the end of March, so please make sure you visit before March 31st to retrieve any missing items.
CCRPI Score - WAY TO GO ROSEBUD!
Rosebud is proud to share that we are the recipients of the Math and Literacy Leader award from the state of Georgia. We will attend the ceremony on March 13th. Our academic gains have led to the highest score Rosebud has ever received on the state report card (CCRPI). Our CCRPI score is an 88.1. We are so grateful for all the support you provide to your kiddos. Let's keep this great work going!
Attention Students of Special Needs
The feedback you share will help guide local schools' efforts to improve Special Education services and results for children and families. The survey is available on-line and can be accessed on the Georgia Department Education website. You may enter the following direct link into your browser https://survey.gadoe.org/SPEDParentSurvey.

βPlanning for an Engaging Summer Breakβ
This session is highly recommended for families of students at all levels (elementary, middle, and high school). Itβs hard to believe but it is already time to begin thinking about the summer break. What will your child do over the summer months? Planning for a fun and fulfilling summer takes thought, time, and preparation. Now is the time to begin making and solidifying those summer plans, as many options require registration in the Spring. In this session, we will discuss options such as summer camp, volunteerism, public library programs, family field trips and more.

Reminder: Rosebud Has A Podcast!
Rosebud is starting a podcast! So far, we have two different segments.
- The Comet Connection Podcast talks about upcoming events and is a kid-oriented audio version of our Comet Connection newsletters.
- Cooper's Corner features students in Mrs.N.Cooper's 4th grade class explaining some of the topics they are learning about in the classroom.
We are learning how to improve with each episode, and students are loving taking ownership of the recording and editing of each episode. We hope to have more segments and students featured in the future. Listen to this on your way home from work for great school-related conversation starters at home.
