Principal's Message
We are off to a great start to 2025! Staff and students haven't wasted a minute diving back into learning and picking up where they left off before winter break. We're excited to for the upcoming weeks filled with exciting lessons, creative activities, and opportunities for your child to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated team has been working diligently to prepare engaging and enriching experiences for our students, ensuring they continue to thrive in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Your students did an amazing job on their mid-year benchmark assessment in December. The scores from the beginning of the year to mid-year remained steady; however, there is always room for improvement. Teachers are diving into this data to ensure students are receiving the instruction they need. The next benchmark will be given in March to determine 4th quarter instructional goals, with a final assessment given in May.
The 3rd quarter term is already passing by swiftly as mid-term and Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up. Please make sure to schedule a time with your child's teacher to attend. This is the perfect opportunity to participate in a collaborative conversation between student, teacher, and parent. The teacher, parents and the student themselves play a significant role in the student's learning journey, making it a shared responsibility. Parents are the primary caregivers and have a crucial role in supporting their child's education by providing a conducive learning environment, monitoring progress, and actively engaging with their child's schooling. The student is ultimately responsible for their own learning, requiring them to actively participate in class, complete assignments, and take ownership of their academic development. The teachers provide instruction and guidance, their role is to facilitate learning and create an optimal environment for students to acquire knowledge and skill. The collaboration and commitment I see in our students' education is inspiring, so thank you in advance for being involved.
Just a friendly reminder that regular school attendance is important for helping students stay on top of their learning and avoid falling behind. During the prime learning period from January through May, students focus on mastering key concepts and skills that set the foundation for the next school year. Let’s work together to make every day count!

ATTENDANCE AT EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
If your child does not attend school, they are not allowed to attend extracurricular activities on that day. We are requesting that elementary students sit with their parents. If students are at an event, they should be there to watch the participants, not to run around the hallways and play. Students who are running around and have been warned to sit down could be removed from the building for the remainder of the event. Please note: The office doors lock at 4:00pm; therefore, there is no entrance into the building on the playground side. If students need to enter to building, they will need to go around to the gym entrance.
