Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week!
Lincoln Families,
As we head into Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week, it is my pleasure to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our dedicated educators and staff members who make Lincoln Middle School such an exceptional place to learn and grow.
Our teachers and staff go above and beyond every day to create a supportive and nurturing environment where our students can thrive. They inspire, motivate, and empower our students to reach their full potential, both academically and personally.
This week, let us take a moment to express our gratitude and appreciation for their hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our students' success. Whether it's a simple thank you, a heartfelt note, or a small token of appreciation, your words and gestures will mean the world to our teachers and staff.
Together, let us celebrate Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week by showing our educators and staff members how much we value and appreciate all that they do.
Thank you to our amazing teachers and staff for your passion, your dedication, and your tireless efforts. You truly make a difference in the lives of our students every day.

Please be mindful of the testing schedule as you arrange your child's appointments or family obligations so students do not have to be pulled out for make-ups. If you have any questions or would like to opt your child out of testing, please contact Assistant Principal Vy Andrew at vandrew@smmusd.org by April 26th before testing begins.
Testing Preparation
As we approach testing week, here are some tips to help support your child's success:
Encourage a good night's sleep: Ensure your child gets plenty of rest leading up to each test day to help them feel refreshed and focused.
Provide a healthy breakfast: Start the day off right with a nutritious breakfast to fuel your child's brain for optimal performance.
Practice relaxation techniques: Teach your child relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or visualization to help reduce test anxiety.
Emphasize the importance of breaks: Encourage your child to take short breaks during study sessions to rest and recharge.
Offer words of encouragement: Provide words of encouragement and remind your child that you are proud of their hard work and effort, regardless of the outcome.
Together, we can help our students approach testing week with confidence and success.

LMS Book Fair
Scholastic Book Fair
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way. Choosing their books empowers kids and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers. And—as always—every purchase at the Fair benefits our school.
Here’s what you need to know about the big event, which will take place from May 6 to May 10 in the library classroom. Your student’s teacher will take them to the book fair one day and they can return during nutrition or lunch. New books are sent mid-week during the fair so encourage your students to visit more than one time. The Fair will also be open during the evening of our LMS Open House on Thursday, May 9th. If you cannot make it during that time but would like to come you can sign up as a parent volunteer here or visit with your child after school until 3:30 pm.

You can choose to say goodbye to cash and hello to eWallet—your child’s digital payment account. Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share each child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy.
You can also shop at our school’s Book Fair online. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Every online purchase will also benefit our school.

Bike it-Walk it!
Friday, May 10th is Bike it! Walk it! Bus It! Day at Lincoln Middle School! Please do your best to walk, bike, skate, scoot, or take the bus to school tomorrow. Remember, youth under 18 must wear a helmet if cycling, skateboarding or riding a scooter. If you have to drive, please try to carpool and park a few blocks from school and then walk your child to school to reduce traffic congestion and improve safety for all our children. Thank you for supporting our Safe Routes to School Program.”
