Minimum Day Friday 8:15-11:45 -- Spring Break April 1-5
Dear Prairie Community,
As we enter the final week before spring break, let's finish strong by emphasizing the importance of attendance. Every day matters. Consistent attendance not only impacts individual student success but also contributes to the overall strength and cohesion of our school community. Let's make this last week count by ensuring that every student is present and engaged in their learning journey.
Please check our Lost & Found this week for any lost items. Any items left on Friday will be donated to charity.
We have a Scholastic Book Fair in the library. Classes will visit the Book Fair during their scheduled library time, but students can also purchase books during recess and after school. The Book Fair will be open both Wednesday and Friday after school until 3:00 to allow families to shop. Students can pay in cash or families can set up an ewallet.
This Wednesday evening, we have two valuable options for parent engagement and information. You're invited to join us for a free screening of "Screenagers" at Pioneer High School starting at 6:00 PM, offering insights into navigating the digital world with your child. Alternatively, there will be an informational session focusing on positive behavior strategies at 5:30 PM at the District Office, providing practical tips for fostering positive behaviors at home. Both sessions promise to empower parents with valuable knowledge and resources. We encourage your participation in whichever event aligns with your interests and needs.
The City of Woodland is once again sponsoring EcoHero Show assemblies this Thursday. The 40-minute show is an interactive concert that introduces environmental topics, tells stories, and engages students with trivia. All throughout the show, students learn songs and follow dances to music videos by rap superhero, Mr. Eco.
Join us for our School site Council meeting this Thursday at 6:00 PM room K2. We will be reviewing the Comprehensive Needs Assessment and recommendations for the 24-25 SPSA.
Warm Regards,
Mrs. Schevenin, Principal and Mrs. Price, Vice Principal
