Congratulations Girls Flag Football Team
Coach and Player of the Year
Congratulations to Hamilton High School's Girls Flag Football Coach Matt Stone and junior Samaya Taylor-Jenkins. The Arizona Cardinals selected them as Coach of the Year and Player of the Year, respectively.
Did you know that Coach Stone was instrumental in helping Girls Flag Football become an official AIA sport and Samaya is one of the top GFF players in the country?

Academic Decathlon
After two days of competition, the Hamilton Academic Decathlon team brought home the 1st place team trophy from the Basha Invitational! On top of that, we earned 68 individual medals and improved our team scores by 4000 points. Last year around the same time, we had two students earning above 8000 individual points in the team, and we had FIVE students achieving this milestone this year! A shout-out to our judges for volunteering your weekend to make this happen; much gratitude goes to our amazing parents, classroom teachers, supporting staff, and school administrators! AFJROTC Cadet Earns Coveted Opportunity
Cadet Saila Olson received news—she has been selected as a primary candidate for the prestigious AFJROTC Flight Academy scholarship! This highly competitive program, with a 25% selection rate, provides students the opportunity to attend a partner university for approximately eight weeks during the summer to learn how to fly. Upon completing a successful solo flight, Saila will earn her Private Pilot Certificate. This is an incredible achievement, and everyone is thrilled for her success!
Of The Month Winners
Each month, our staff nominates students who they believe are deserving of recognition. This honor is awarded to students who have demonstrated exceptional efforts both in the classroom and beyond, and it is a testament to their hard work and dedication.
Congratulations to our December of the Month winners! The recipients will be honored at a luncheon on Thursday, December 12th catered by Chef Turcotte's Culinary Arts class. Astralis Research and Innovation Club
Congratulations to the Astralis Research and Innovation Club! Two teams won the Illuminate Challenge sponsored by ASU for developing solutions to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #12- Responsible Consumption and Production. They will now proceed to the next stage to get mentorship from ASU!

Cocoa & Cram
On Thursday 12/12 the Link Crew hosted Cocoa and Cram for freshman students to help them prepare for final exams. About 250 freshman students, 50 link crew members and 24 teachers and counselors were in attendance. Students worked with teachers and upper-classmen link crew members asking questions, reviewing material for upcoming finals, and of course enjoying some hot cocoa and candy canes.

Celebrate Excellence: Nominate a Student for Chandler's MLK Jr. Youth Action Award!
The City of Chandler's Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Action Award will give a $500 prize for a Chandler student who exemplifies Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s spirit through their community contributions.
Nominations are open from November 1 through December 9 online here.
