*ProFESS Program for Future Environmental Scientists and Stewards
Land Health is now recruiting high school students for our ProFESS Program this summer! STUDENTS CAN APPLY THROUGH THIS LINK. Applications are due March 30th and must include a letter of recommendation.
Our Program for Future Environmental Scientists and Stewards (ProFESS) is a free, 8-week summer program that seeks to empower high school students (8th-12th) to become future environmental scientists and stewards through hands-on, immersive environmental education.
This year, students can earn up to $400 for program participation, depending upon their overall attendance and participation. Our program is scheduled to begin June 23rd and to end August 15th. ProFESSers should anticipate committing up to 8 hrs/week (2-3 days) to ProFESS, including occasional Saturdays. We would love the opportunity to mentor your students about the natural world and to inspire them to do more good in preserving our Philly green spaces!
Please share this email with students in 8th-12th grade to notify them of this exciting opportunity!
Attached is a poster. Help to get the word out through your newsletter or post it to a public bulletin board where summer learning opportunities are listed.
