Superintendent's Update
Dear School District Community,
As we step into October, I’m excited to share our district’s commitment to a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all. This month, we are focusing on a critical message: "Stand Tall, Fly High – Say No to Bullying." October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and it’s a time for us to come together as a community to support one another and take a strong stand against bullying.
Our schools will be actively engaging students in activities and lessons aimed at fostering kindness, empathy, and respect. From classroom discussions to district-wide events, we will empower our students to be upstanders and to contribute to a positive, bully-free environment. On October 7th , our school community will wear BLUE to show a unified stance against bullying. On October 14th , our school community will wear Black, Silver, and White as EHT Stands Tall and Flies High against Bullying.
We encourage you, as parents and community members, to join us in this effort. Have conversations with your children about the importance of kindness and standing up for those who may need a helping hand. Together, we can create a culture where every student feels safe, valued, and ready to S.O.A.R.
Let’s work hand in hand to ensure that every child can confidently stand tall and fly high, knowing they are supported by a caring community. If you have a concern or are aware of any incident(s) that may be considered harassment, intimidation, or bullying, or would like to learn more about what the district does and/or the reporting process, please see our website . (link here) We are open to receiving all reports and investigate all reports with fidelity. All cases are supported with counseling and parent conversations.
Thank you for your partnership in making our schools a safe and supportive space for all.
Warm regards,
Dr. Kim Gruccio

District Mission and Goals
Mission Statement- Embrace - Engage - Educate
Our mission in the Egg Harbor Township School District is to embrace families and their
students to provide a safe, rigorous, and relevant learning experience while students are engaged and educated to become responsible for their own learning.
Student Achievement
In order to prepare students for the future that awaits them, teaching practices will incorporate new technologies and innovation to support student learning to prepare students for the future that awaits them. Professional Learning Community work will encompass the Teaching and Assessing Cycle. This data will assist in meeting individual student needs using the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework. We will also focus on the social and emotional needs of every student to foster successful learning experiences.
Culture, Climate and EHT Pride
S.O.A.R. (SAFETY, OWNERSHIP, ACCOUNTABILITY, RESPECT) will be used as the foundation to ensure a safe learning environment for all. SOAR provides students with self-regulation skills, life skills, and character skills that will assist them with student achievement, work ethic, good character, and a respect for diversity. We will celebrate progress through recognition and reward to reinforce student expectations for a positive school climate, culture, and #EHTPride.
Expand Stakeholder Partnerships
Continue to form positive, supportive, and sustained partnerships with community partners to complement and enhance student learning, activities, and athletics at all grade levels. The effectiveness of these partnerships will depend on the quality of collaboration, the alignment of goals, and the level of commitment from all involved parties. These stakeholders include students, parents, teachers, support staff, school administrators, the Board of Education, community organizations, businesses, and government agencies.
