Bush Elementary Families,

I'd like to begin by thanking the Fulton community for your support of Bush Elementary and Fulton Public Schools. As I enter the next year as Principal of Bush Elementary, my pride for this school, this district and this town continues to grow. Today, like every day, is a great day to be a Hornet!

As you read this, the weather is beginning to feel a little more like fall, which means school is right around the corner. This monthly newsletter is my way of communicating information from the building level which I hope helps keep you current with all things Bush.

I’d like to welcome our returning students and parents back for what is sure to be another great year! To those new to the Bush Elementary family, we look forward to meeting you and helping you have a successful educational experience. You have made a great decision in joining our district, our school and our community. We’d also like to welcome back our returning staff and thank them for the hard work they have put in to prepare for the upcoming year. Bush would like to extend a warm welcome to our new staff members as well; each of whom brings experience that will help enhance the already incredible team we have in place. Families that have previous experience with Bush can attest to its quality; and I speak for our team when I say how excited we are to get the 2024-2025 school year started!

At Bush, we have an extraordinary team and a great story to tell; every day. We celebrate the impact that our team has on students and the community, and like to share it. Fulton Public Schools Online Registration for the 2024-25 school year is now open. Please log in to your Parent Portal to complete the required forms.

Please note that your student cannot receive their class schedule or teacher assignment until online registration has been completed and approved.

Address changes cannot be processed until proper proof of residency documentation has been provided. Please email Sara Kneedler (skneedler@fulton58.org) with any questions about proof of residency requirements or other registration questions.

Open House will be August 19 from 3:00-6:00pm. Please bring all of your school supplies and meet your teacher for this upcoming school year! We will also have a scavenger hunt sheet to help you navigate our building.

Log into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account to complete the 2024-25 Free & Reduced Meal Application online or access the PDF application at this link: https://tinyurl.com/bdevybnp

This form must be completed each year to qualify. Unsure if you qualify, complete the form, and our Food Service Department will process it and let you know!

Completed applications can be dropped off at our Central Office (2 Hornet Drive), during Open House, or sent in with your student on the first day of school.

Arrival: Doors open at 7:40am. (Students should arrive no earlier than 7:40am). Students will be considered tardy at 8:10.

Dismissal: Dismissal begins at 2:55 with our car riders dismissing first, followed by walkers, then bus riders.

"Honoring Our Hornets" is a way for you to express your gratitude to any Fulton Public Schools employee who goes above and beyond what is expected. Anyone can submit an "Honoring Our Hornets" nomination for any Fulton Public Schools employee.
