Free NARCAN Training
Please join us on Thursday, April 4th anytime between 6 and 8pm to learn how to possibly save a life using NARCAN (generically called Nalaxone).
Healing Springs, a recovery center in Saratoga that is run by The Prevention Council, is offering a free NARCAN training at the library. This training takes approximately 10 minutes. Participants will learn the signs of opioid overdose, and what to do in a situation where they think someone may be overdosing. Those who complete the training will receive a free Naloxone kit to take with them.
Registration is encouraged but walk-ins are welcome!
2024 Library Voting Information
The school district is including two items for the Schuylerville Public Library on the ballot for consideration by residents:
The first is an election for the Library’s Board of Trustees and is separate and distinct from Schuylerville Central School District’s budget and Board of Education’s elections. The Schuylerville Public Library is holding elections for three seats on its Board of Trustees this year. The three candidates who receive the highest total number of votes cast in their favor shall each fill a three-year term ending in 2027, created by the expiration of the current terms of Trustees Dennis Kagel, Patricia Partello and Katie Brunson.
For those interested in running for a trustee position, please follow the instructions on the petition form.
The second item to be decided on by voters is the $12,000 increase to the Schuylerville Public Library’s annual budget appropriation, which would be a total of $377,000 annually. The increase will allow the Library to maintain its resources with rising costs. The Schuylerville Public Library is committed to offering unique and educational programs for the community. Each year the Library hosts hundreds of programs and serves thousands of people. All of its programs and exhibitions are free and open to the public. Connect here for TLC ~Technology, Literacy, Community!
Election takes place at the Schuylerville Central School District on May 21, 2024 from 12pm-9pm
