We want to hear from you! What is going well? What questions, concerns, or comments do you have? Interested in joining a committee or getting involved some other way? Please let us know here and we will work to address your questions in upcoming newsletters and/or in 1:1 communication. Fill out this form to Let CCA Know!

8th Grade Field Trip To CCIC!
Dear Parents of 8th Grade students,
Cherry Creek Academy 8th graders will tour the Cherry Creek Innovation Campus (CCIC) on December 10, 2024. The permission to participate must be filled out by Tuesday, December 3, 2024 in order for your child to attend.
Open now in its sixth year, the CCIC is a stand-alone Career & Technical Education (CTE) facility accessible to CCSD high school students in 10th through 12th grades. With a curriculum rooted in real-world skills and trade certifications ranging from computer sciences to aviation to health and wellness, this facility offers students a new kind of bridge to college and careers in high demand.
Along with CTE courses at all CCSD home high schools, the CCIC expands the district's commitment to preparing students for the academic and professional demands of modern careers.
The CCIC currently offers the following Pathways, all featuring college credit, career certifications, and industry-grade equipment:
· Advanced Manufacturing (Clean manufacturing in metals, wood, etc.)
· Business Services (Project Management and Entrepreneurial Classes)
· Health & Wellness (Pharmacy Tech, Nursing Assistants, Behavioral Health, and Physical Therapy)
· Hospitality & Tourism (Event/Resort Management and Culinary)
· Future Educators (Teaching as a profession)
· Infrastructure Engineering (Framing, roofing, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
· IT & STEAM (Cybersecurity and Product Design/Fabrication)
· Transportation (Automotive, Aviation & Flight)
This field trip allows all 8th-grade students to tour the facility, ask questions, and begin thinking about if and how the CCIC may play a role in their high school path. There is no cost to students and transportation will be provided by district buses. We are looking forward to this opportunity for our students to see this nationally recognized campus!
