Wildcats on the Prowl!
Our Wildcats appeared in the Summer 2024 edition of UNO Magazine! Green Team sponsor and third-grade teacher, Jen Carey, collaborated with faculty and students at UNO to establish a pollinator garden in front of our school. Students identified and collected seeds from the Glacier Creek preserve and planted them in the beds. We are grateful to everyone who helped make this special project happen!
Walnut Creek School Directory
A school directory is being compiled for the 2024-25 school year. It includes class lists, home addresses, parent phone numbers, and parent email addresses. It is a great way to access contact information for birthday invitations and play dates! If you would like a copy, please send $5 cash or check to school. You can also purchase through Paypal @wcpto. The directory will be sent home with your child in early October.
If you do not want to be included in the school directory, please send a message to walnutcreekpto@plcschools.org.
Title I Information
As a parent of a student who attends Papillion La Vista Community Schools, you have a right to know the professional qualifications of the teacher who instructs your child. This is a requirement for all districts that receive Title I funds. Federal law allows you to request the professional qualifications of your child’s teacher and the paraprofessional who works with your child and for the district to provide you with this information in a timely manner upon request. In a Title I building, the paraprofessionals must meet highly qualified requirements prior to employment. Please contact Dr. Kati Settles, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, at 402-537-6200 to request information.
