A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Welcome November!
As we get ready to start our winter sports season, I wanted to put a plug out there for parents and community member to consider helping as event workers at the wide variety sporting events our students are involved in. The bonus is not only do you get to see our incredible students and their talents, but you get paid to do it! Please consider becoming an event worker.

KUDOS
Congratulations, October Student of the Month
Each month a student in the senior class is chosen to be the OHS Student of the month. The student is selected based on scholarship, citizenship, leadership, and co-curricular activities. The October Student of the Month is Kira! Congratulations!
Congratulations Fox Friday Winners
Congratulations go out to the following students and staff member for being chosen as this week's Fox Friday winners, and our staff member ! Thank you Mr. Weber, Erica, Lainey and Jaden for demonstrating the characteristics of the Fox Four and for being such great role models!!
Sources of Strength Peer Leader Training
Sources of Strength Peer Leaders attended the annual SOS training in the Commons at OHS. Peer Leader training includes small group sharing, building our strengths, conversations about mental health, campaign planning, and plenty of games.
Key Club Trick or Treating Food Drive
Omro FFA Students Attend 97th National FFA Convention & Expo
FFA members and supporters from across the country will celebrated agriculture and agricultural education during the National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis. This time-honored tradition was held Oct. 23-26.
The National FFA Organization is the nation’s premier school-based youth leadership development organization, with more than 1 million members and 9,000 chapters in rural, suburban, and urban schools in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. FFA’s mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
The National Convention & Expo is the largest gathering of FFA members annually. Attendees have the opportunity to compete, explore more than 350 careers, meet other members from across the country, shape the future of the organization, enjoy entertainment opportunities, and more.
Halloween Fun!
Students as well as staff were able to get creative and don costumes for Halloween! Here are a few photos from the day, as well as our dress up contest winners!
Macromolecule Spoons in Biology
Biology students played Macromolecule Spoons on Halloween to prepare for their upcoming exam. It was a fun way to review and study together.

Voters can possibly request and vote an absentee ballot in-person in their municipal clerk’s office from October 22 through November 3, 2024. Office hours vary by municipality. Some municipal offices may not offer additional in-person absentee hours.

Get ready—the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school!
Studies show that kids read more when they choose books for themselves. And fostering a love of independent reading leads to a wide variety of benefits—including academic success and improved mental health.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Book Fair:
Dates: November 11th – 15th, 2024. M, T, Th, F – 7:30am – 3:30pm, Wed. 7:30am – 2:15pm

from the Fair.

S.T.E.A.M. Night, Thursday, November 7!
STEAM NIGHT is coming to Omro! Please join us on Thursday, November 7 for an evening of fun for families in grades 4K-8. The "Full STEAM Ahead" Family Night is taking place at Omro Middle/High School from 4:30pm-6:30 pm. There will be a food truck on site for families who wish to purchase food.
First Annual Turkey Bowl Food Drive!!
NHS is hosting the very first annual Turkey Bowl Food Drive at the Omro vs Winneconne Girls basketball game on Friday, November 22!! The school with the most food items wins the Turkey Bowl trophy!

Winter sports are rapidly approaching. Here are the start dates for winter sports:

November 18th: Boys' Basketball, Powerlifting, Wrestling

Powerlifting Practice Begins
The first Powerlifting practice is 11/11 at 3:45pm. Meeting for lifters is Thursday 11/7 3:30-4:00 in the Health room. There is a sign up poster on the weight room door. Please scan QR code to fill out google form for sign up.
FALL HS SPORTS BANQUET SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 18TH
The fall sports banquet, sponsored by the Omro Athletic Boosters, is scheduled for Monday, November 18th at 6:00 PM in the PAC. Please RSVP by November 11th to ensure the proper amount of food is ordered.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
This year we are excited to announce that we are hosting and showcasing our athletes in a wide variety of tournaments, invitationals, and state tournament action. While we love allowing our athletes to show off their skills at our beautiful facilities, it does require a lot of event workers. Not only do you get to attend events you work for free, you get paid! Please consider becoming an event worker this year.
