- All volunteers must be cleared by Safe Visitor Solutions before volunteering in any capacity at Madrona. Complete your paperwork now!
- Please allow up to two weeks for notification from the district about clearance
- All volunteers must have either an ID badge or sticker from the office visible while on campus

Sitzprobe sounds like some sort of weird alien autopsy but it’s basically orchestra day where the kids get their first chance to sing together with the live band.

👩🏫 Spring Conference Week
Earlier we did a tidbit about Fall Conference Week, now it's time for Spring Conference Week
- Spring conference week for the 2024-2025 year: 3/12 - 3/13
- Fall Conferences are invitation only
- Students are released early these days to accommodate conferences - 12:25 pm release
- Conferences are generally between teacher and caregivers, some teachers will ask that a student attends, please check with your student's teacher
- Lunch is still served these days however, no hot options are served
- Students will still have recess and specialists
- Middle school will have 20-minute periods these days

💯 100th Day 100 Bears
Wednesday, February 19th was the 100th day of school - we were sick, so we are celebrating on February 24th instead
- To celebrate MIT will hide 100 numbered bears all over the public areas of the school for students to find
- We ask that students take ONLY ONE and leave the rest for others to find
- Please take a picture of the bear your student found and upload it here! (Be sure we can see the number!)
- Can the school find all 100 bears together?!
💲 MIT Grants: Call for Submissions
MIT allocated $15,000 for grants submitted by the community (that's you!)
"Grant" is just a fancy way of saying -- write up your idea to improve the school
The community submits ideas, they are scored, and the highest scoring are given the money to make their ideas a reality!
Round 3 -- $7,931 in available funds ($2,931 carry over from rounds 1 & 2)
💡 Submit Your Ideas - One More Chance this Year! Due 4/21/2025
We still have $7,931 in funds to award to great ideas to improve our school!
What are your ideas? Something educational? Something to support the learning environment? Ways to improve the campus maybe? Something artsy? Something STEM? A new event? An assembly?

🤫 MCT Silent Auction - Due 3/17
Madrona Children's Theatre will have a silent auction during each of the four shows of the Wizard of Oz
- All proceeds go towards funding next year's production
- We need your help to make this event successful
- All donations big or small are appreciated
- We plan to create gift baskets, so small items like a bag of coffee, box of chocolate, or $5 gift card are great
- Donation drop box will be in the MIT office starting 2/5
- Donations due 3/17

👟 Madrona Miles Club!
Students in grades K-8 can participate in this running (or walking) club!
Meet at the Madrona K-8 Track
- Bring your running/walking shoes
- Wear clothes to participate in
- Bring your own water bottle
- Have a good attitude!
The goal of the Madrona Miles Club is to provide a free, fun, and inclusive program where students can exercise with friends, improve their fitness, and learn about the importance of healthy living.
The club aims to foster a positive attitude toward physical activity, encourage regular exercise, and promote lifelong healthy habits in a supportive and social environment.
Students need to be registered for Madrona Miles Club this year so our school nurse can cross check for any health concerns. Register now
Madrona Miles Club is a DROP IN program, once you are registered, come when you can.
Care givers and family members are welcome (and encouraged!) to stay and walk/jog with their kids, but you can also drop them off and go.

Do you have clear pictures from Bear Scare? What about the jazz concert last week? We'll take them all!

💵 MIT Scholarship Program
MIT understands that the costs associated with school may be a hardship for some families. The MIT community has determined that it is important to support our community during this time.
MIT has updated our scholarship program, so it is no longer dependent on qualifying for Free & Reduced Lunch
The fees covered by the Scholarship Program include:
Supply fees (also available under Free and Reduced Lunch benefits)
One ticket to Bear Scare
One Enrichment class per year
Field trip fees (also available under Free and Reduced Lunch benefits)
One yearbook & one pen
Anyone who thinks the cost of these items may be a hardship for their family should apply.
