Highlights from the Year

High School and Junior High Booktalks

I worked on adding additional nonfiction title booktalks (example: Gigged) based on feedback I received from a student last year. I also created booktalk lists for the 2020 Lincoln List, and I plan on finishing the 2020 Caudill booktalks by the beginning of the school year.

Matherville Booktalks

Emily Bradshaw and I made sure to promote the 2019 Caudill books, and I also made short booktalks for those. In addition, I started featuring one book a week from the collection in the library Google classroom (example: Mascot).

Elementary Booktalks

Based on discussion with the aides, I started to build a collection of short booktalks, especially on books featuring a diversity of characters. I am planning on sharing more of these on the website next year now that I have some built up, and I did post some in the library classroom (example: Island Treasures).

Chromebook Workload

The Junior High/High School and Matherville Library staff members do all of the repair requests for chromebooks. We also handle the loaners as needed for various reasons.
