School Counselor's Corner
Dear Wolfpack Families:
It's hard to believe the end of the 2nd trimester is approaching. This is a good time to review study and work habits for our students. This includes celebrating our strengths, areas they've made growth and where they may need extra support or practice to strengthen skills. We are always growing and learning. Enrichment and practice are important for our growing brains.
We need enough sleep, limited screen time, physical activity, and healthy eating. Please help your child with all of these things. Daily reading will help build their vocabulary and help with all subjects. It's easy to use math when helping cook for portion sizes, using a recipe, or shopping. Spring Sports may also be keeping your child busy, so please reach out if any help is needed with time management with practices, and home and school commitments.
Our Multilingual Students are in the middle of ELPAC testing and Ramadan begins tonight. Please reach out to Ms. Kimber or the school if there are any areas you are looking for support. Thank you to everyone who notified me you participated in the Great Kindness Challenge. It's not too late to get your class or student certificates if you let me know you completed it.
Happy Friday everyone!

4th Grade Families!
Outdoor Education Fundraising for NEXT YEAR Can Start NOW!
Thank you to Mrs. Harris and other 4th-grade families that are taking the lead on fundraising for 5th-grade Camp NOW!
Upcoming Events to Fundraise for 2025-2026 5th Grade Camp
- Sweetheart Dance - Thank YOU Mrs. Harris for organizing this awesome event!!
- Car Show, Saturday, May 3rd, Time TBD
- Movie Night - WE need a 4th-grade parent to take the lead
- Frito Friday - WE need a 4th-grade parent to take the lead
- Other ideas to close the year...
Why Start Now?
- Walker Creek gives us our date to attend... this year's 5th-grade classes date was moved up to February. If our date gets moved up even more in the year, we'll have less time to fundraise
- If we start now, we'll have less pressure to raise funds during the 2025-26 school year
- It's never too early to start getting students excited about attending camp!
