First Day of School is Tomorrow, August 17
Dear EMCSD Community,
Tomorrow, we welcome all of you back to our schools! We are thrilled to open our campuses to our students and families again, and we cannot wait to see what the 2023-2024 school year holds for each of your students.
This year we are introducing our First 10 Days of School or F10 Plan to reconnect our school communities. The goal is to help our students and families feel included in every facet of their educational journey. EMCSD educators worked tirelessly over the summer to develop ideas that will celebrate the diversity of our school communities while creating and rebuilding relationships so EMCSD remains that special place we know it to be.
The best part about this plan, it involves ALL OF US working together to ensure we have an active role in educating and supporting our students. Below is a link where you can access resources on how you can be partners in our F10 plan. They are sorted by grade level and available in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Vietnamese.
I also want to take this opportunity to share our theme this year: Educate, Elevate, Empower. In education, the intertwined threads of "educate, elevate, and empower" form a profound tapestry of growth and change. Join me in embracing this theme as our guiding light, inspiring us to create classrooms, offices, and gathering spaces that nurture not only academic excellence but also the unshakable foundations of self-assurance, resilience, and the courage to dream beyond boundaries - all in a loving and nurturing environment.
I cannot wait to see students and families again - WELCOME BACK!
