ELC at George Earle Weekly Update
Friday, September 22nd, 2023
Hi-ho... Hi-ho... It's off to the orchard we go!
All of our Kindergarten classes are heading to Garwood Apple Orchard over the next week. Miss Boyle, Mrs. Helminski, Mrs. Rosenbaum, & Miss Swarts classes will be going Tuesday September 26th. Miss Kelly, Miss Lucas, Mrs. Metz, and Mrs. Swims's classes will be going Wednesday September 27th. Miss Buckley, Mrs. Grulke, and Mrs. VanMilligan's classes will be going Thursday September 28th.
This field trip is a rain or shine event... So PLEASE make sure your child is dressed for the weather! Please make sure they also have their backpack (preferably empty) on the day of their trip as they will be bringing home a bag of apples as well as a pumpkin. If you did not sign up to have a lunch provided for them from the school cafe, make sure they have a cold lunch packed in a disposable bag so it can all just be pitched out when they finish eating. They are going to have so much fun!!! We can't wait to go.
College Go Week!
As always, dress up days are optional and always just for FUN!
We will be celebrating a spirit week for College Go! Week Monday September 25th-Friday September 29th. Please don't ever feel like you have to go out and purchase things to participate.
To go along with college go week, we will be reading "I Want To Be A Lot!" and talk about different careers and school options as they get older. Parents, If you want to hear this story- click on the video of Mrs. Gutierrez reading it.
We will end the week on Friday with an awesome event called Careers on Wheels here at The ELC and our back lot will be FULL of all sorts of exciting future careers for them to check out hands on. It will be such an exciting day and we can't wait to see their faces when they see who all shows up right in our very own ELC backyard!
Thank you SO much to everyone that came out for Fall Fest!
Miss Kelly's class with their alphabet cookies
Miss Kelly's class did some letter matching with alphabet cookies! The matched the capital letters on the cookies to the lower case letters on the paper. They had a blast and a delightful snack 😀
OH NO!!! YOUR LITTLE BRICKIE ISN'T FEELING WELL?
If your child isn't feeling well, please keep him or her at home. You must report the absence IN SKYWARD before 10:00AM. There is no need to call the school to let us know. If there are any questions about the absence, we will reach out to you.
Lego Club at The ELC!
Ms. Fraze & Mrs. Helminski are starting Lego Club next week. They already have over 100 kids that want to join the club! This week, letters went home stating whether your child is in this first session of club or will be in another session later on in the year. Lego Club will run different sessions all the way till about Spring Break to give all the kiddos a chance to be in it! If you got a letter stating that your child will be in another session- the week before that session starts, a note will come home with them with all the details! Don't worry! EVERYONE that wants to be in Lego Club will get a chance to be in Lego Club!
