Before and After School Child Care
Expanded Services in 2024-2025
District 303 elementary families will have additional options for before and after school child care under expanded partnerships with the St. Charles and West Chicago Park Districts and South Elgin Parks and Recreation Department. Beginning with the 2024-2025 school year in August, fee-based child care services will be available at additional locations with hours conducive to the new school schedule.
Based on the new school start time, the St. Charles Park District will expand morning child care services to District 303 elementary schools within its jurisdiction. These services will be offered at each of its service schools. Consolidation will be considered based on enrollment minimums and other program needs.
The South Elgin Parks and Recreation Department, which currently provides after school care at Corron Elementary, will add before school services. The West Chicago Park District will continue its before and after school care for Norton Creek families.
Registration for before and after school child care takes place later this year. Program and registration details will be available starting the first week of May. Because of these expanded services employment opportunities are available. Please reach out to your specific community Park District/Department for additional information.
