Chippewa Science Olympiad Team
The Chippewa Science Olympiad team wrapped up our 23-24 season with the 2024 Science Olympiad National Tournament at Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan. We had a fun Memorial weekend and successfully competed at the National Tournament. We want to thank students for all their hard work, parents for the time and support, and coaches for the work they put into this season. We look forward to the 24-25 season kicking off next fall!
2024-25 Online Student Verification
If your student will be attending one of the Mounds View Public Schools for the 2024-25 school year we require a yearly verification of your student's information in our online student data system.
Our OLV's are completed through ParentVUE. If you need help with your ParentVUE account please call the front office at 651-621-6400.
Charger Yearbooks
If you ordered your student a yearbook it will be distributed on Monday, June 3rd during their 7th-period class.
We have a limited number of yearbooks that will be on sale starting Tuesday, June 4th in the front office. The cost for these yearbooks is $35, cash or check, and are first come first serve.
Bus registration
If your child is entering kindergarten through 12th grade next year and will be a bus rider, you should have received an email about busing for the 2024-25 school year. Please read the email(s) carefully, as you will receive a personalized email for each student in your family with specific instructions. Detailed instructions for registration are also available at mvpschools.org/transportation.
If you did not receive an email or have any questions, contact the Transportation Department at 651-621-6027 or transportation@mvpschools.org.
Message from the Chippewa Library
The end of the year is quickly approaching! The last day to checkout books was on Friday, May 10th and all books were due back to the library by Thursday, May 23rd. If your student has lost a book, please reach out to Vickie Woehrle at vickie.woehrle@moundsviewschools.org to discuss a replacement plan.
Summer book checkout: 6th and 7th-grade students who are returning to Chippewa next fall can check out up to 8 books to take home over the summer. If your student would like to check out books, their account needs to be clear of all library materials and a permission slip needs to be signed. Copies of the permission slip are available in the library. For questions, contact Vickie Woehrle at vickie.woehrle@moundsviewschools.org
FROM THE HEALTH OFFICE
Attention 6th Graders
Before entering 7th grade, students are required to have a Tdap booster and a Meningococcal immunization, or documentation of medical or conscientious exemption. Parents of students who were enrolled at Chippewa in 6th grade and in need of immunizations received a letter with information specific to their student. Updated immunization information will be required for your student to receive their class schedule in the fall. Please submit the needed immunization information to Chippewa's Health Office by August 19th, 2024. For further information regarding these requirements, or to document a medical or conscientious exemption, follow the links below:
