This Week at the Peak
We had an amazing time celebrating our 5th grade students! This group has been a shining example of leadership at Mt. Peak. They’ve brought statewide recognition to our school through their strong academic performance—earning us a U.S. News Best School Award—and have continued to set the bar high for character and behavior, helping Mt. Peak earn the Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase School designation for the second year in a row.
We are so proud of each of you and can’t wait to see all the great things you’ll accomplish in the future!
Thank you to our amazing special team for providing their annual last day dance party for every grade level on Thursday in the library! The students had so much fun dancing and singing along with all their favorites.

We are excited to announce the elected members of the 2025–2026 Student Council! It was a close race in several categories, and we are so proud of all the students who showed courage, responsibility, and leadership by participating. In the end, the results reflected the voice of the student body—because at Mt. Peak, we believe in democracy! Congratulations to our newly elected leaders—we can’t wait to see the amazing things you’ll do! Also, there will be the potential to earn a position on the Student Council next school year, if you demonstrate Peak-Positive Traits.

John and his twin brother Liam got to come to school in style on their birthday! They won the PTO silent auction for this great event. They arrived by firetruck and both Mrs. Fincher and Mrs. Fleischman's class were able to greet them outside this morning. It was so much fun for the students to be a part of this! Happy birthday, boys!
Fifth grade ended the year with a slime-tastic celebration! Slime success to wrap up an unforgettable school year!
Congratulations to Ms. McVey’s homeroom!
They earned a popsicle party from Mrs. Hobbs today in recognition of turning in all their library books. Well done!
Teeny Tiny Tuesday was a hit for first grade! So much alternate fun learning this last week!

We had one of our favorite events of the year on Monday thanks to PTO! Creature teacher is always such a big hit for all of our students and staff!
Ella enjoyed being Coach for the Day. We were able to celebrate another PTO Auction winner this week.
Peyton was a wonderful Teacher for the Day in Mrs. Hanson’s class on Tuesday. She approved morning journals, led circle time, kept the class focused on their daily tasks and affirmed each and every student for their efforts throughout the day. Way to go Miss Peyton

May's Leadworthy Character Trait is Integrity
What is Integrity?
Integrity is the ability and willingness to live with honesty and excellence. People who act with integrity make a choice to do the right thing, no matter who is watching. Integrity is the foundation on which we build relationships and trust.
Why Focus on Integrity?
- Integrity generates trust. When we are honest and follow through on promises, we gain the confidence of our team; Trust allows us to collaborate and achieve more together.
- Integrity encourages self-assessment. Integrity requires our regular self-assessment to align behaviors with our goals and self-beliefs.
- Integrity is essential in leadership. Great leaders decrease anxiety and build strong teams when they are honest, consistent, and responsible.
Integrity In Action
- Acknowledge and affirm acts of integrity. Publicly praise students who model acts of integrity such as honesty and honor. Encourage students to identify classmates who show integrity.
- Use scenarios and role-play. Challenge students with real-life scenarios and situations that allow them to reflect, discuss, and choose the best next step or action.
- Create a culture of accountability. Invite students to give you feedback. Ask students to rate the class based on your Social Contract. Empower students with choice-based consequences.
