Office Notes!
Hello Maple Dale Families!
The office wants to thank you for your patience and cooperation as we transitioned Mrs. Angie Spyrou into her new position as Administrative Assistant. She has taken over for Sandy Theilen who, as you may or may not know, retired last year.
If you are making changes to your student's transportation for the day, please email your student’s teacher, Angie and Karen.
All students are required to ride their assigned bus and load and unload at their predetermined bus stop. In the event a student needs to ride a different bus, or exit the bus at a stop other than their assigned stop, students must obtain a bus pass by having a parent complete and return a Transportation Boarding Pass or Parent Communication Form.
Please be sure you are filling out Parent Communication Forms when you know your student is going to be absent or late. This form is VERY necessary for us.
We would also like to say, "Thank you", to the families who have completed their student's FINAL FORMS in a timely manner. We are still missing several forms from families. Final Forms serves as our Emergency Contact information which means we need them completed/updated prior to your student attending any field trips. Here is the link for FINAL FORMS.

Vision and Hearing Screen Sign-Ups!
Vision and Hearing Screens for Kindergarten, First Grade, and Third Grade will take place the week of October 10th–October 14th. This is a fun, easy way to get involved at school, and only requires a short time commitment. A short training will be provided prior to the screens . The vision and hearing screens allow us to detect vision and hearing problems early, and would not be possible without parent volunteers. Please consider volunteering and sign up by clicking on the link below.

Extra Hands Needed!
WALK-A-THON UPDATE!
Students received their WALK-A-THON pledge collection envelopes on Monday and can begin inviting family members and friends to sponsor them in our FUN & HEALTHY fundraiser. Maple Dale PTO’s major fall fundraiser, is an opportunity for students, staff and families to work together to support our school. Funds raised this year will be used to create a MAKERSPACE in the media center and to support ongoing PTO programs that our students love! If you are available to help with this exciting event, please email Heather Parzynski (heatherparz@gmail.com).

WALK-A-THON SHOE DRIVE!
In conjunction with the Maple Dale PTO’s WALK-A-THON, we will be collecting gently used shoes for Free Store's "Back on Track" program. Hold on to your gently used children and adult shoes for donation to local families in need. Collection boxes will be available at school 2 weeks prior to the WALK-A-THON. Please tie the laces together and bring them to the drop-off box in the cafeteria by October 20.
