Worthington Kilbourne Weekly News
Week of May 19, 2025
Dear Kilbourne Family,
Thank you for a great year. We started off with a few new classrooms on the second floor with a completely new numbering configuration. Our students were resilient and your patience has been appreciated.
This year rolled out the Portrait of a Learner and developed our students with the five qualities highlighted in the structure. Our sports teams have fared well and the co-curricular programs have performed outstanding shows--I still can't get over how elaborate and well-designed Home for the Holidays program is. The Student Council ended the year with a terrific pep rally that included our first Powder Puff football game. The Red Hot Chili Peppers fell to the Kilbourne Kitties in a colossal match-up!
In all, we had a great year. Nearly 400 students will graduate this year from WKHS and in the fall we will welcome a new batch of Kilbourne Wolves to the PACK. The cycle of a school allows us to reset and renew our mission each year and we look forward to seeing you in August. For those that are ending their journey with their last senior graduating, we wish you well. Please come back for a game or show and let us know how you are doing.
Kindly and always, Aric

Summer '25 - Athletic Camps
Parents: Athletic Eligibility Reminders
Have a student athlete? Please read the athletic eligibility guidelines for BOTH OHSAA and Worthington Schools listed below. These apply for all Athletics and Marching Band along with the performance and competition activities noted on our list of Clubs and Activities.
Students must be working towards earning 2.5 credits in the preceding grading period in order to be eligible for participation.
- At the conclusion of the quarter and semester, students must be passing 2.5 credits with a 60% or higher.
- PE courses (Strength Training, Yoga, Wellness for Life, and Flex and Tone) do not count towards athletic eligibility.
- College Credit Plus, online courses, and DACC enrollment are all great opportunities but they come with responsibility. Make sure your student still meets the minimum credit requirement.
- If you are enrolled in an online Treca course, you must demonstrate that you are 50% completed with the course, and passing by the end of the 1st or 3rd quarters. You must then complete the course by the end of the 2nd and 4th quarters, which is the end of the fall and spring semester.
Please see your School Counselor, Principals, or Athletic Directors with questions.
