Be Amazing! Building Our Story!
Another great week filled with excitement about our Fun Run! It was a beautiful day filled with running, dunking and having so much fun!
Conferences are October 10 and 14th. Your child's teacher should have sent you a link to sign up for a time. Here is the link if you have misplaced it. We are striving for 100% participation in fall conferences.
Conference Sign Up LinkThe PTO Fundraiser is up and "running". Our current total of donations is OVER $34,000. That is AMAZING! Thanks for your generosity and sharing you child's link wide and far! We are looking forward to the Family Fun Run at OMS on Saturday, September 28 from 11am-1pm. See more information below.
I hope you have a great weekend and hope to see you tomorrow at the Family Fun Run.

PTO Fundraiser
The Fall Fun Run is our one and only fundraiser for the CGE PTO! This fundraiser culminates with a Family Fun Run at Oltman Middle School on Saturday, September 28 (see flyer below). Don't forget to send your child's link to family and friends. The students are very excited for this event and the potential of Mrs. Gram sleeping on the roof on Oct. 10. Less that $900 to go to reach $35,000.

Car Riders- Drop off and Pick up Safety
In an effort to make our schools safe we are asking that you refrain from bringing your pets to drop off and pick up. While they are cute and adorable, many people have allergies or other aversions to your lovable family member. Please respect the safety of all.
If you have any questions, please contact Candy Gram, building principal at cgram0@sowashco.org or 651-425-5803.
2024-25 Student Handbook and Annual Notifications
The purpose of the Student Handbook and Annual Notifications are to provide a framework of resources for your experience as a student, whether you are full-time, part-time, online or in-person. This includes information so that you can develop an understanding of the general rules/expectations and guidelines, along with notification of board policy or state statute.
Items noted with an asterisk [*] indicates notice is required by State statute. Items noted with two asterisks [**] indicate notice is required by School Board policy.
Besides the policies that are included and/or referred to in this Handbook, students are expected to be aware of and to abide by all of the District's policies. All of the District's policies can be found on the District's website. Students should pay particular attention to the policies in Section 500 that specifically pertains to students. Questions regarding policies can be directed to your building administrator.
Birthday Treats
It has been a common practice to provide treats for the class in honor of a child’s birthday; however we are asking that NO EDIBLE TREATS be sent in to celebrate birthdays. We will make your child’s birthday special in the classroom without edible treats.
If you would like to send a little something to honor their day please consider an alternative birthday treat such as pencils or a book donated to the classroom. We ask that no edible treats be sent in due to varying allergy conditions and other issues related to edible treats in the classroom. Thank you for your help with following this new practice of celebrating birthdays in the classroom.
Volunteering at CGE
If you wish to volunteer at CGE you MUST HAVE A CURRENT BACKGROUND CHECK Completed. You can visit:
https://www.sowashco.org/get-involved/volunteer
Click on The Volunteer Process.
There is a volunteer application and a link to complete your background check. It is helpful to do this early in the year so you are set in case a volunteer opportunity arises such as field trip or helping at track and field event.
If you have had a current background check WITH THE DISTRICT in the past two years and have volunteered during that time you do not need to complete another one at this time. Unfortunately we cannot accept background checks from any other organization. You must have one on file through our district.
