World Language Happenings
Spanish 1 Classes
Spanish I students recently created food people made out of food and drink vocabulary words that they know in Spanish. Students had the option of creating their food people digitally or by hand. This week, they will write detailed profiles for their food people to demonstrate knowledge of "hay" ("there is/there are") and the verb "ser" ("to be"). They will practice proper verb conjugations of "ser," as well as gender and number agreement. Students will work with partners to peer edit and advance their Spanish writing skills.
Spanish 2 Classes
In Spanish 2, eighth grade students recently took on the role of a personal shopper to their favorite celebrity. Students selected clothing items and accessories that expressed their own creative tastes and wrote about their thoughts, preferences and opinions on the outfits, creating a Style Board to "sell" their outfits to their celebrity clients.
