From the Principal
Dear Parents, Whanau & Caregivers,
What a beautiful day we had for our school athletics yesterday. Students all competed to "Personal best" standards and it was lovely to see a large group of parent/ whanau supporters encouraging children.
We now look at top place-getters in varying areas and organise our school's "Dixon Banner" team who will head to Ramanaui School next Wednesday to compete against local schools.
Notices will be forwarded to these students once sorted.
Sunhats are now a must! Please ensure your child has a named sunhat - wide brimmed is preferred. The sun can be incredibly fierce, our school policy dictates - no hat, shade areas only.
Let's hope it continues over the weekend- enjoy!
Regards
Neryda

After due consideration of all the applications received, and a rigorous interview process the Board is pleased to announce that Shevaun O’Brien will be Hāwera Primary School’s new Principal.
I would like to thank our school community for your patience during this process and a special thank you to the staff of Hāwera Primary School.
Ngā mihi manahau, Shevaun – the Board look forward to 2019.
