State Required Prevention Education
As of the 2023-2024 school year, the Ohio Department of Education requires school districts to provide annual prevention education to all students in grades 6-12 around suicide prevention, violence prevention, and social inclusion. This requirement aligns with HB123 the Safety And Violence Education (SAVE) Students Act. ODE has shared an approved list of evidenced-based programs for schools to fulfill this new requirement. Upon review of the approved programs, Gahanna has chosen to utilize the Sandy Hook Promise Say Something & Start With Hello Programs. Please read the attached letter for additional information that includes the option of opting your child out of these lessons.

All proceeds from this fundraiser go to support students with special needs in the ESS and FSS programs. You can use this link to place your order.
