We are two days into the 2024-2025 school year, and the excitement and readiness to learn is overflowing. The beautiful smiling faces and happy laughter that filled the school filled the hearts of all of the adults that were able to witness it.
This week we will be hosting Back to School Night on Thursday, and we are so exciting to meet the wonderful families that belong to our children. At 5:00 I will start in the Gym/Cafeteria with a brief presentation on schoolwide programs for our families of 2nd and 3rd graders. At 5:15 the teachers of 2nd and 3rd grade invite you in to learn all about the classroom and grade specific programs. We have a brief break from 5:45 until 6:00pm. This is to allow our 2nd and 3rd grade parents to leave and our Preschool through 1st grade parents to arrive. At 6:15 pm I will welcome the parents of Preschool through 1st graders for a presentation in the Gym/cafeteria. Then at 6:15 pm the preschool through 1st grader teaachers will open their rooms for their presentation. SPECIAL PTC SUPRISE...... for families wondering how they are go to fit dinner in on such a busy night......Fat Cat Catering will have their food truck their from 4 pm until 6:30 pm. They will have Hot Dogs, Bratwurst, Veggie Dogs, Hot Link and Soft Pretzels for sale. They will also have chips and soft drinks for purchase as well. What a great addition to our fun filled evening.
A quick reminder that Wednesdays school gets out at 1:02. This allows teachers to meet together and discuss curriculum, learn of new state and federal guidelines as well as study the results of assessments and determine what the ideal next steps are for instructing your child. We often have people who forget about early Wednesdays, so let's all "Phone a Friend" and see if we can get all of the kiddos where they need to be after school on Friday.
Volunteer opportunities are ahead. So please remember to get your volunteer forms filled out. You only need to be fingerprinted one time, however TB testing is required every other year. Check with Miss Katelyn in the office if you need to see if yours is due
