This upcoming week, May 6th-10th is Teacher/Staff Appreciation week. We appreciate the time and effort our teachers and staff put into ensuring that our students get the best educational experience we can provide. If you would like to show your appreciation for the teachers and staff who work with your students, there is a list of our staff members favorite things that can be found below. We tried to organize the list so it would be easier to identify which staff members work with your students. We certainly appreciate all that our families do to make CCID a great place to work!

We have our Acadience End of Year testing for grades Kindergarten- 3rd Grade this week. The results of this testing will allow us to compare student data to the Beginning and Middle of the Year data we previously collected. This data allows us to see the growth that individual students have made over the course of the school year. Acadience results will be shared with families in the coming weeks.

On Thursday, May 16th from 5:00-7:00pm we will hold our Celebration of Learning. Students will have stations set up through their classroom to display the hard work they have put into their Personalized Learning Plan (PLP) projects.Students and families visit the various classrooms throughout the school to see the wonderful work students have accomplished over the school year. In addition, there will be a student Art Auction in the Tinker Space at CCID, with proceeds benefitting our Art classroom. We hope to see you there!

We're excited to announce a partnership with Pier 49 Pizza in Providence starting this month. Students received a reading log today from their teachers. Each day a student reads for 20 minutes, they get to color in one of the images. Students will return their filled reading logs to the office at the end of the month. Students will then receive a coupon for a free personal pizza at Pier 49. Happy Reading!

We ran our lottery for the open enrollment period, but we will continue to accept new students until our roster is full. If you have any friends or family members who are interested in attending CCID you can share this enrollment link with them, or direct them to the CCID website. If you have any incoming kindergarteners or siblings of your currently enrolled student who would like to attend CCID next year, please fill out the enrollment link above as well. There is an option to select sibling of a current student which will give your student that is new to CCID priority in the lottery process.
