As federal policies about Immigration are put into place, worry and concern rises among our community. Our school, like all in TUSD will remain places of safety and learning for our students, regardless of immigration status. Administrators and office staff have been trained on how to manage situations where law enforcement could become involved. Two documents from Superintendent Trujillo and community resources that provide further information on this serious topic are here.

Lineweaver continues our work using Character Strong resources to introduce and reinforce a character trait each month. Classroom lessons and discussions will be centered upon this month's trait and a student from each class will receive an award. February's Character Trait is HONESTY!

All of our robust before and after school programs are made possible by your TAX CREDIT dollars. Please give to Lineweaver. You can choose specific programs or give to our "undesignated" funds that will go toward the greatest need.

Mark your calendars for February 13 and 14, which is half day dismissalat 11:45am. These times are set aside for Parent-Teacher Conferences upon request by teachers and parents. Please contact your child's teacher for more information.

National School Counseling Week is this week February 3-7. The theme is: School Counseling: Helping Students Thrive. National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success, personal/social success and plan for a career. We encourage you to celebrate all the wonderful work your School Counselor, Ms. Addis and Ms. Riviotta are doing at Lineweaver!!
