ECLC Family Newsletter
May 10, 2024
Hello Ranger Families!
As we close the book on another school year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for entrusting your children to us. Your trust is a privilege, and we are committed to providing your children with the best possible education.
Our students are achieving academic success, and they have also developed important social and emotional skills. We are proud of the work that our students have done, and we are grateful for the support of our families.
We could not have succeeded without the hard work and dedication of our teachers and staff. They are dedicated to providing your children with a high-quality education, and they are always looking for ways to improve. We are grateful for their commitment to our students.
I would also like to thank our PTA volunteers and community partners for their support. The volunteers and donations have helped us to provide our students with the resources they need to succeed and help make our schools the best they can be.
As summer break begins, I encourage you to continue to support your children's learning. Read to them, play educational games with them, and help them explore their interests.
Looking ahead to the next school year, we wish our Kindergarten students well that are moving on to first grade and we look forward to working with our returning families in the fall.
Thank you again for your trust and support. Have a wonderful summer break.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Andrea M. Vance

News from Nursing Services
Please see the letter below regarding the end of the year medication pick up.
Call with any questions or concerns.
Mrs. Piper - School Nurse
ECLC: 440-327-1284
Dear Parent/Guardian:
During the past school year, your child had permission to take medication during the school day. Parents/guardians can pick up the medicine at the Nursing Clinic before the last day of school. Any medication not picked up will be disposed of by nursing staff next fall.
If your child will continue to need this medication during the upcoming school year, state law requires the parent and physician to complete a Medication Administration Record (MAR) yearly. Please refer to the Parent/Student Handbook (pages 34-35) located on the Ranger Web Portal for details. The link for the medication forms is shared in this letter.
Having the form completed and on file in the school office before school begins will save confusion for you and your child. This form and the medication can be brought to the school office before the opening day of school. The nurses will be back in the buildings on August 14, 2024.
If your child had an emergency plan last year, please provide an updated plan. Nursing will share the plan with all teaching staff on your child's schedule.
Thank you for your assistance in safeguarding your child's health. If we can be of any help to you or your child, please feel free to contact me. Nursing's last day is the morning of May 24, 2024.

Arrival & Dismissal Procedures Updates
Good morning ECLC families,
Here are a few reminders for arrival and dismissal procedures.
As the lot is small and does not have the capacity to accommodate all of our families, please be considerate at drop off and pick up times and limit your parking time to 15 minutes. We love that our families are connected to each other, though conversations in person and on the phone should be reserved for the yard or playdates, not the parking lot while other parents wait to park.
- Please make sure you have your tags for pick up or a driver's license. Our staff can not release students to you without it. If you have other family that is picking up your child, please ensure they have a driver's license or tag available.
Please DRIVE SLOWLY! Children are present and are difficult to see from the driver’s perspective. There are tight corners, and blind spots that make children vulnerable. Slowing down is one of the best preventive measures.
Children should HOLD HANDS with an adult and AVOID RUNNING! Make sure that children are not leaving the front exit without a parent with them. Walk in designated, marked walkways or sidewalks when possible.
These rules are set in place to ensure the safety of all of our children. Slow down, be considerate, and stay safe!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Vance
