Catching Up w/ Mr. C
Delsea High School - April 2024
Hello Crusader Nation!
The past month has been a whirlwind of activity, brimming with captivating performances on the stage, a Renaissance celebration, baseball and softball training and playing down south, and the allure of the prom – this is just a glimpse into the myriad of highlights. Amidst this bustling scene, it has been immensely gratifying to witness our students shine in these enriching experiences.
What fills me with immense pride, and should surely ignite the same sentiment within you, is the continuous stream of compliments we've garnered regarding the exemplary conduct of our students. From opposing athletic directors commending our student-athletes for their sportsmanship to state representatives acknowledging the remarkable success of our mock trial team, the service staff at the prom complimenting the behavior of our students, and a compassionate Delsea student offering aid to a community member during a health scare at the play – it's truly a testament to the unwavering spirit of Delsea Pride on full display!
As we return from spring break, the stretch run of the school year lies before us, brimming with excitement and demanding diligence from us all. This time of year necessitates a pivotal conversation with your student about their academic progress, attendance, and their roadmap for finishing the year strong. Should you have any questions or concerns, remember that a wealth of vital information is readily available through OnCourse. Additionally, our guidance counselors, teachers, and administration remain just an email or phone call away.
Lastly, as we embark upon the 4th marking period, I hope everyone enjoyed the spring recess and capitalized on the opportunity to relax and rejuvenate with your families, friends, and loved ones. Time to get back to the grind!
Let's harness this momentum and seize the opportunities of the spring season together, ensuring it becomes a time of both academic achievement and personal growth for all within our Delsea community.

JROTC
Congratulations to the Delsea Regional High School Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) for achieving the prestigious recognition of earning the Honor Unit with Distinction. The Honor Unit with Distinction is a unit's highest award from the United States Army Cadet Command. Only 10% of the nation's Army JROTC units receive this award. This esteemed designation reflects the dedication, discipline, and excellence demonstrated by the cadets and instructors of the JROTC program. Through their commitment to leadership, teamwork, and service, they have not only upheld the values of the JROTC but also set a standard of excellence for their peers and the community. This honor is a testament to their hard work, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Well done, Delsea Regional High School JROTC!

NUTRITION SERVICES UPDATE
All families are encouraged to complete the free and reduced meal application. This form ensures all students have access to nutritious meals, while also securing the necessary funding to support every student in the district. PARENT PORTAL IS OPEN
The OnCourse Parent Portal for the 2023 - 2024 annual student registration is now OPEN! Each year, parents/guardian of existing and newly enrolled Delsea High School students must update several annual registration requirements using the OnCourse Connect Parent Portal at https://www.oncourseconnect.com/login. Please note that parents and students will not be able to access their grade portal until they fill out the annual registration.
STUDENTS AND CHROMEBOOKS
This year we are going to encourage students to check and use their Delsea email more regularly. WHY? Because every student has a Chromebook and teachers use Google Workspace tools for classroom efficiency! It’s an easy way for them to communicate with their teachers. It’s a great way for students to stay up to date with important announcements from teachers and the school. This can include information for clubs, sports, cancellations, reminder of events, and so much more.
LOCKERS
Lockers will be assigned upon request. Once your student has completed the Google Form, they will get their locker information emailed to them.
