KHS Family Newsletter
December
News In December
As we wrap up the final month of the year, we’d like to recognize the wonderful accomplishments and milestones that we have celebrated at our school. This has been a year of GROWTH AND LEARNING for our community. We inducted 17 new members to the National Honors Society. Fall sports have wrapped up and winter sports have already begun. 96.3% of students passed all of their courses for marking period one. Our 8th-10th graders scored above the state average on the Fall PSAT for both Eidence Based Reading/Writing and Math! We have been SO HONORED to have shared these moments with you! Please remember to watch for weather related closures as we head into the new year. As with every month, WE REMAIN THANKFUL FOR THE STUDENTS IN OUR CARE and the families that make up our community. Cheers to a happy December!
Student Safety
For the safety of our students, we are asking that you park in a parking spot and not along the building when you are picking up a student.
Thank you!
Women's Summit
Four KHS students and two staff members had the opportunity to attend the Women's Summit this year! The experience helped strengthen relationships and make meaningful connections. They were able to engage in discussions that deepened trust and collaboration. Some of the sessions that they attended provided them with valuable information on setting and maintaining boundaries and how to handle tough conversations. The staff members were able to get information on practical classroom management. Overall, this was a great experience for all involved and they were proud to represent KHS!
Exams
We will be taking our first semester exams on December 18-20. Exams will count as 20% of the semester grade. Please make sure your child is preparing for these and taking advantage of our tutoring services if needed. Tutoring is offered Monday thru Thursday from 3:00-4:00.
