Message from the principal
Dear Students, Staff, and Esteemed School Community,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support we have received at the beginning of this term. Your commitment to our school community and the broader world around us truly makes a significant impact.
At the start of this term, we initiated a donation fundraiser to contribute to the Ishikawa Earthquake relief efforts. It warms my heart to see the compassion and generosity displayed by our students, parents, teachers, and staff.
As we continue through the term, I want to remind you that the fundraiser is still ongoing. If you haven't had the opportunity to contribute yet and would like to make a difference in the lives of those affected by the earthquake, your support is more than welcome.
Donations, no matter the size, go a long way in providing relief and support to those in need. Your kindness exemplifies the spirit of our school community, and together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of others.
To donate, please read about it in this newsletter. Every contribution brings us one step closer to helping those affected by the earthquake rebuild and recover.
Once again, thank you for your continued support. It is truly heartening to witness the compassion and unity within our school community.
Warm regards,
Ali Kara

Ishikawa Earthquake Relief
Dear parents and caregivers
Dear parents and caregivers,
This is Aleyna (G9) and Joanna (G8), MYP students at Abroad International School. We are writing this email to inform you about an alternative way to donate towards the Ishikawa earthquake. As you may be aware, we are collecting clothing donations for JRCC (Japan Relief Clothing Center), canned food for recent earthquake victims, and lastly money for earthquake destruction. This is part of our Community Project which is focused on natural disaster relief. During Japanese Culture Day, we collected a bunch of donations and continue to do so. We appreciate everyone’s support so much! We will keep the clothing donation-collecting process going until the 23rd of January, Tuesday, whereas money donations will continue until Friday, February 16. The clothing donation will be promptly delivered to the JRCC.
For parents who could not come to school to donate money towards the Earthquake, we have a school-provided donation bank account from which you can directly send money to earthquake relief. The money donation will be delivered to the Ikuno Ward office, where it will help provide essentials and hope to those in need in Ishikawa Prefecture. Your generous donation will make a significant impact on the lives of those affected by the recent events.
