MARTY'S MINUTE
As we approach the conclusion of the 2023-24 school year, I am filled with pride for all that our district has accomplished. Today, I am excited to provide some updates from our recent Port Angeles Capital Advisory Committee (PACAC) meetings.
I, along Sarah Methner and Sandy Long, have had the privilege of collaborating with a dedicated team comprising Melissa McBride and some staff of Stevens Middle School, four community members, and Nolan Duce. Together, we are focused on ensuring that our Middle School Facility meets the needs of our school community while staying within budget constraints.
Our committee has been working closely with the design team from Integrus Architecture Firm and the GC/CM Forma Construction Firm, approved for hire earlier this year. This partnership marks a significant step forward in our journey towards revitalizing our school facilities.
As we continue the schematic design, our commitment remains unwavering: to deliver a new middle school that embodies 21-century learning ideals and fills our community with pride. I am pleased to report that we are progressing as planned, both on schedule and within budget.
This marks an exciting time for the Port Angeles School District and our community as we witness tangible progress towards our capital project goals. I anticipate sharing this initial design at our next board meeting on June 13, 2024.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to enhance the growth of our district.
