From the Desk of Mr. Ruedinger
Hello CCA Parents,
The 100th Day of school is tomorrow Friday, February 7th! Students may dress up like they are 100 year old.
We are pleased to announce the results of the Catholic Schools Week Penny War. The 8th grade class was the overall winner and will have possession of the traveling trophy. Congratulations to all our students and families on donating a grand total of $756.72! The total proceeds will be donated to St. Peter Claver Food Pantry.
The Wisconsin Religious and Independent Schools Accreditation (WRISA) announced on January 20, 2020 the accreditation of Christ Child Academy for the 2019-2020 school year. The press release states: “We applaud the accomplishments of the Christ Child Academy community and its commitment to ongoing school improvement and high standards of excellence,” remarked Beatrice Weiland, WRISA’s executive director.

Standards Based Grading
During this school year, Christ Child Academy will be transitioning from a traditional grading system to standards based grading system, which will go into effect for the 2020-2021 school year. The Archdiocese of Milwaukee has strongly recommended that all schools move to this reporting framework.
As we proceed through this transition over the next year, please know that our goal of academic excellence remains our priority. These "best practices" will enable parents to fully understand where their child is academically while at the same time motivating students to become life-learners.
The Parenting Guide to Standards Based Grading will provide valuable insight during this transition. Additional information will be coming in the following weeks.
