Year of COMMUNITY and COLLABORATION
CELEBRATING 60 YEARS!
A Letter from Father Frankline...
Dear people of God,
"Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." (Mt 16 :19)
God is good all the time and Great is our Lord! We profess this from generation to generation! Jesus came on earth to live among the people. Jesus the Eucharist! Jesus did not become the Eucharist. He is born to us as the Eucharist. He takes on the presence of our humanity and in His divinity creates heaven on earth. He teaches us, then, how to continue the Covenant as we receive Him in the Eucharist. How great is our Lord that He helps us to understand the perfection of His Gift. Jesus the Eucharist grasps our brokenness, our sinfulness and raises us up to serve one another.
Our Catholic Appeal Weekend, February 24th and 25th 2024, offers an opportunity to proclaim Great is our Lord! You receive the Eucharist and become the gift of Jesus to serve one another. As one faith filled family, we join together to provide support for the ministries to build God's kingdom here in Central Florida and beyond. Through the ministries of Our Catholic Appeal you form seminarians and deacons; teach our children and young people about the Sacraments; develop the strength of God's unitive love in the Sacrament of Marriage; communicate God's message of holiness through all forms of social media; or glorify God through prayerful building projects as you live as a Eucharist to one another.
Your gift to Our Catholic Appeal last year helped support our parish, school and these diocesan-wide ministries that flourish our Catholic faith in Central Florida. As a Church, we are not just an individual parish, but we are part of a larger diocesan family and together we are able to provide so much more in order to build God's kingdom in Central Florida. I ask for your continued stewardship of our Church in Central Florida this year. You may have received the envelopes for this year in the mail, please bring them with you when you come to church and if you did not receive the envelope then you will find the envelope in the pews. I sincerely ask you to consider this for the greater glory of God.
You may make your pledge or gift online at secure website: www.ourcatholicappeal.org. If you prefer, you may return the enclosed pledge card to the parish office or bring it with you to Mass on Our Catholic Appeal Weekend. If you are able to respond with your commitment no later than March 22nd, this will help us in our planning process for our new fiscal year.
Thank you for being the body of Christ on this earth. Jesus never tires of His love of you. Come to His table and receive Him. Let us wait on each other at His earthly table that we might know, love, and serve Him through all ages.
