Monitor Elementary School
April 2025
Message from Principals
April is here and the fourth quarter has begun. Report cards went home yesterday, and we will celebrate our students at our third quarter awards assembly on Wednesday, April 23rd. We look forward to recognizing our students for their hard work during the third nine weeks! Our fifth graders will take a field trip this month and our second graders will also have their music program in April. We will begin state end of year testing this month with our English Language Learners taking the ELPA21 test at the beginning of the month and 3rd-5th graders beginning ATLAS testing at the end of the month. K-2 ATLAS end of year testing dates have not yet been set but will be shared by your child's teacher when testing is scheduled. Thursday, April 17th will be our Donuts with Grown-Ups event and the last day of Mallard University. We are so thankful for our students and families and look forward to another great month at Monitor!

Below are the dates each grade level will be testing. If your child will be testing, please make sure he or she arrives to school on time, gets plenty of rest the night before, and has a positive start to their day. We can't wait for our students to show all they know!

Please bring your ID with you at check-in. // Donuts with Grown-Ups RSVP
Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher appreciation week is May 5th-9th, and we look forward to spoiling our teachers all week! If you would like to contribute to helping make this a special week for our teachers, you can send donations via Venmo to @MonitorBoosterClub with a note that says "Teacher Appreciation Week" so we know how to direct the funds. We appreciate your support in helping us show our teachers how much we appreciate them!
