Do You Want to be a WATCH D.O.G.S.?
Please click on the link and sign-up for an available day between now and Spring Break!
What Will You Need When You Arrive at MPE?
- Please ensure you received a confirmation from Steve Kowalski ahead of time.
- Please ensure you have a valid state/government ID for check-in at the front desk. Unfortunately, if the ID is not valid, we cannot grant you access to the building.
- Please ensure you wear your white RAPTOR badge on a highly visible place on your person. This will be provided to you, at check-in with our front office staff.
- Please wear your WATCH D.O.G.S. t-shirt.
Where Can I Get a WATCH D.O.G.S. T-Shirt?
WATCH D.O.G.S. dad t-shirts can be purchased prior to your visit -or- the morning of your visit. Unfortunately, we do not have a large inventory of shirts at our campus, so we might not have the exact size you are wanting/needing the morning of your visit. But we will do our best to accommodate.
WATCH D.O.G.S. shirts are $10. Cash or Check (payable to MPE PTA, memo Watch DOGS)
What Does a Typical WATCH D.O.G.S. Day Look Like at MPE?
The responsibilities of WATCH D.O.G.S. really depend on the day itself, as responsibilities and priorities change day-to-day, and sometimes minute-to-minute in a school. With that said, flexibility and adaptability are key. But a typical day, might look like this:
7:35 - 7:55 - Arrival car-rider duty
8:00 - 8:10 - Morning Announcements
8:10 - 10:10 - Classroom
10:10 - 12:30 - Cafeteria Duty
12:30 - 1:00 - Lunch
1:00 - 3:10 - Classroom
3:10 - 3:35 - Dismissal car-rider duty
3:35 - 3:45 - Pick up your child from staff room, and sign-out in Main Office
What Do WATCH D.O.G.S. do at MPE?
Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with arrival duty
- Assisting with dismissal duty
- Assisting the custodial crew
- Assisting in the lunchroom
- Assisting the front office staff
- Perhaps some "heavy lifting"
- Spending time with your student(s)
- Spending time with other students
- Helping classroom teachers with light teaching, tutoring, reading, etc.
- Really whatever "pops up"
