Happy New Year Madison Family,

I hope you had a refreshing and enjoyable break, and we look forward to seeing our students and families on Monday, January 6th, 2025. I wanted to remind you of upcoming events and changes that will occur upon your return to school.

• January 6th and January 13th are Early Release Days (3:30pm dismissal). All Mondays from January 27th will be full school days.

• 6th grade students will attend Nature's Classroom on January 7th, January 8th, and January 9th. Cooler weather is expected next week so encourage your scholar to dress accordingly (most activities are outdoors).

• First Semester exams are optional and will be offered on Saturday, January 11th. Ms. Brown will share more information this week regarding testing administration.

• Very Important: Our students missed over 3,000 minutes of class time during the hurricanes. As a result, our school is still short on the statutorily required instructional minutes, so we must adjust our start and dismissal time. Starting Friday, January 17, 2025, the beginning of the second semester, school will begin at 9:30 a.m. and dismissal will begin at 4:34pm (Ms. Brown sent a Parentlink message on 12/4/2024). The Second Semester bell schedule is attached below and can be found on our website.

To ensure we continue to provide high quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for college and career, we need your feedback. Track and Field is our next extramural sport.

• The Cluster Track Meet will be held on January 15th @ Jefferson HS 6pm. Top athletes in their events, will advance to the County Championship (Date: TBA).
• Athletes must have all requirements complete prior to the first day of tryouts. Review the PowerPoint or visit the district's athletic webpage for step-by-step directions (resources below).

• Limited number of cards available for purchase on campus (at Madison Middle School)
• Cards expire July 2025.
• 50% off of 18 orders.
• Online purchase is available by clicking the button below.
• The cost has been increased to $15 for each card.
