Note From Principal Graham
This week we focused on the graduate profile skill of being resilient. We focused on keep trying even when things are hard or challenging. As a community, we definitely experienced that this week with Hurricane Helene. I want to express my sincere gratitude to our school community for your resilience and support during the recent hurricane.
We are so pleased to have our students back in school this week. Your children's safety and well-being remain our top priority, and we are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive learning environment. As we move forward, please know that we are here to support you and your family in any way possible. If you have any concerns or need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or the front office.
Next week is the end of the first nine weeks. Our teachers sent home communication to our families about joining us for parent/teacher conferences on Thursday afternoon or Friday morning. If you have not set up your conference time yet, please reach out to your child's teacher.
Our fall fundraiser will kick off on October 7th. Your child will receive a fundraiser packet to bring home. We are raising money to complete our outdoor classroom, school events, and for your students field trip costs.

Being in school allows students to the best possible chance to grow, learn and excel — every minute counts towards reading on grade-level.
Plus, students can connect with friends and adults, collaborate and problem-solve, think critically, be creative, and engage in hands-on learning. Showing up matters! Attendance matters — all day, every day — it all adds up!
National Custodial Appreciation Week
We have the best housekeeping and custodial crew around. We personally thank, Ms. Martina, Ms. Gregoria, Ms. Ana, Mr. Hezekiah, Mr. John and Mr. Darien for all that they do.

These responsible, service-minded 5th grade students did an awesome job handing out Snack Packs today! Oak Grove truly appreciates the businesses & churches who make this program possible!
3K Uses 5 Senses
3K students used their 5 senses in a fun lesson and even had a little bit of help with some River Bluff High School football players.
