From the Principal
- This week at Munhall, I noticed students focused on learning around having a growth mindset and perserverance. As we approach IAR for our intermediate grades, this will be especially important. Students are able to identify specific examples when they have demonstrated a growth mindset, or notice others doing so throughout the building.
- When dropping your child off, please do not get out of your car if your car is in the drop off lane. Thank you!

Here is your chance to make difference.
PTO Reserve Fund Allocation Update
209 ballots were received and counted today, March 21st by Kelly Schild, PTO President and Suzanne Whittington, PTO Treasurer in the Munhall teachers lounge.
The option selected is Option 1: Funds follow each student. 43% stays with Munhall PTO (estimated at $4,730); 57% moves to Fox Ridge PTO (estimated at $6,270).
This option received 134 votes (64%).
The breakdown for each option is in the pictures attached.
Thank you to everyone for working through this process together.
Steps that were taken during this process:
A survey was sent out on March 5th to all parents/guardians of current Munhall students via email to gather additional suggestions and ideas. The survey was closed on March 11th.
Suggestions were discussed at the March 12th PTO meeting, with the decision to provide ballots for voting.
Ballots were provided to Munhall on March 13th for staff voting and to be sent home with all students for parent/guardian voting. Ballots were due by 3pm on March 31st.

FRIENDLY REMINDERS
Drop off and pick up
- If you are dropping off in the morning, please remember that you may also drop students off in the front of the building. The line on 13th gets longer throughout the winter, so this is always an option. Likewise, when you do not see any other Munhall staff outside please drive to the front of the building to drop your child off. We typically go in right around 8:00. The "why" for this is safety. Thank you for your understanding.
- When parking on 13th, please be mindful of all the cars that need to park and pick up kids. You do not need to take up two car spots to park. I know it can get tight with all the cars but all cars leave at different times and it always works out perfectly.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES IN SCHOOL
Phones/Smart Watches
From 22-23 Elementary Handbook: Students are extended the privilege of possessing phones/ smartwatches on school grounds; however, their use is limited to after-school dismissal and non-school days. These devices must be in the off position, or not used once the student arrives on campus until the end of the school day.
