Dear Families,
Last week was a busy one with some very memorable events for students and staff. We hosted Sweethearts & Heroes to spread the message of HOPE and talk about action steps to take to help prevent bullying. Elementary classes visited the fire station, and over 100 high school students attended the homecoming dance last Thursday evening!
We hope you enjoyed your much deserved long weekend! Have a good week!

HOUSE SYSTEM
This year we started a “house system” at CPCS. We took all staff, faculty, and all students in our building and split them up into 8 different camps. Each camp is identified by a color. In each camp you have “camp directors” which are the faculty & staff, "cabins" which are high school students, and elementary grade levels were placed into "cottages" by grade level. We will be using the camps for some campus-wide teambuilding and friendly competitions throughout the school year. Faculty, staff, and high school students competed for points on the opening day. We’ve been doing trivia challenges for points through the daily announcements and tracking attendance and rewarding camps points based on good attendance. We introduced elementary students to their camps at the September Forum and we are planning to have the cabins and cottages combined for a COLTS Camp Day in November! Ask your child what camp they belong to! (red, yellow, orange, green, blue. purple, pink, black)
PEP RALLY
There will be a Fall Pep Rally held on Friday. Students are encourage to dress in their "camp colors". Points will be awarded!
HALLOWEEN
We are excited to share that students WILL BE permitted to dress up for Halloween if they so choose. Costume guidelines will be shared with all families. Stay tuned for more info!
5 WEEK MARKING PERIOD
Progress reports were issued at the end of last week. Students who are failing a class, must stay after each week with that teacher to get academic support. This is REQUIRED.
LOST & FOUND
We will be doing a weekly Facebook post with items in the lost and found. Items will not be held for more than two weeks. We encourage everyone to claim their lost items as soon as possible.
STUDENT SHOUT OUT!
Kudos to our seniors, the Class of 2025, for putting on a great homecoming dance for their peers! It was so much fun and our students did a great job overall following school expectations.
