Principal's Message
Greetings SHMS community!
I hope that everyone is enjoying the long weekend. While the schedule and weather in 2025 have certainly thrown us some curveballs I am happy to report that our attendance rate for all students is still over one-and-a-half percentage points higher than it was last year. As a parent, I know that getting your student up and off to school when the schedule is so choppy can be challenging day after day and want thank everyone for doing your part and helping to get our students to school. Thankfully, other than the long weekend in mid-March, we have quite a few 5-day weeks of school ahead of us and hopefully this helps us improve on our attendance gains as Spring approaches. Further, this is the final run-up to annual CAPE exams in literacy and Math and we want to make sure that all students are prepared to achieve personal goals when they begin taking those tests in a few weeks.
Last week our operations team worked hard to get mailings ready for families and you should see that at home very soon. Included in the mailing are Term 2 report cards and middle of year score reports for many of the assessments students took recently. We hope that this information helps families reflect with their student to celebrate achievements and refocus on areas for improvement in the Spring semester. If you have any questions about anything that is included in your student's mailing, please reach out to their counselor or grade level administrator to learn more.
I hope you all enjoy the holiday tomorrow and look forward to seeing our students when we return to school on Tuesday morning!
Warm regards,
Eric Fraser
Principal

2024-2025 Athletics' Participation Packet
The 2024-2025 Athletics’ Participation packet has been released. All students must complete a participation packet every school year. Additionally, the medical forms must be completed within the prior 365 days. Stuart-Hobson Student Attendance
The Cluster is a strong community of families, and the PTA strengthens that community by working together to support our students and campuses. Joining the PTA is a great opportunity to learn more about our school, enrich the student experience, and meet new people. PTA dues help fund critical programs, as well as supplies for music, art, library, and athletics.
