Arrival and Dismissal
What's Happening at Hart
Panther TV Announcements
Have you checked out our Panther TV Announcements. This is a great way to find out what's happening at Hart. The pictures below show how to find the announcements on the James Hart School website. Students view these announcements daily during Advisory.
Go to the James Hart website: https://jameshart.hsd153.org/
Tardy Policy-Arrival to School
Students are required to be on time for school and to each class so that classroom routines may continue without interruption. Students are to arrive to school by 7:35 a.m. The school day begins at 7:45 a.m. Tardiness is defined as a student not being in their assigned seat at the conclusion of the late bell. In the mornings, students must be seated with school materials in their Advisory classes by 7:45am or they are considered tardy to school.
Administration will issue a Saturday School for students who are tardy three or more times to school in a trimester. This will also result in the loss of 10 points/demerits.
Food Deliveries
We do not accept food deliveries for students (Door Dash, Grub Hub, Jimmy John's, etc.). If there is an attempt to deliver food for a student from a delivery driver, we will send the food back with the driver.
Notes from Food Service
Please be advised that those who qualified for free or reduced priced meals from the 23-24 school year and have not yet reapplied for the 24-25 school year will no longer receive free or reduced meals beginning October 1st. If you are unsure if you have qualified for the 24-25 school year please contact our food service director at anne.simons@hsd153.org or call 708.922.2417. Be sure to include your child's first and last name in your messages.
