Greetings RMS Families --
I can't believe we are down to the final 2 weeks of school. Students are finalizing NWEA assessments and grades this week. Teams are planning for end-of-the-year field trips to celebrate a fantastic year.
Our 5th Grade Step-Up Day went smoothly, and I want to thank the 6th grade families for making the day work. I also want to thank our 6th Grade Ambassadors who came into school to help that day. We have some excellent end-of-the-year events coming up with our Grade 6 and Grade 7 Awards on June 10th and our 8th Grade Celebration on June 12.
For 8th Grade Families, in order for students to participate in the celebration, they cannot have any grades of Insufficient Work Submitted (IWS) by Wednesday, June 7. In addition, each student gets 4 tickets due to the amount of people we are allowed to have in the gymnasium. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Our last day of school is June 13th (1/2 day). This day we celebrate students with grade-level assemblies and a whole school assembly. We honor academic achievements and community highlights. In addition, we celebrate the student of the year while enjoying an end-of-the-year slideshow. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 am.
Please be on the lookout for updates on Summer School. We will be finalizing our Summer School lists during the week of June 17th.
Thank you for an awesome year! We wish the 8th graders good luck in their transition to Spaulding High School, and we look forward to working with the remaining students and families next year.

Summer Safety
As the weather gets warmer and we all spend more time outside, it's important to stay safe while having fun. 🌞 Remember to wear sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays, and don't forget your hat and sunglasses. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, especially when you're active. Be mindful of your surroundings, whether you're riding your bike, skateboarding, or just hanging out with friends. And if you're swimming, always follow the safety rules and never swim alone.
Don't forget about tick safety. Ticks can be found in grassy and wooded areas, and they can carry diseases that can make you sick. To protect yourself, wear long sleeves and pants, and tuck your pants into your socks when you're in tick-prone areas. Use insect repellent on your skin and clothes, and always do a thorough tick check when you come back inside. If you find a tick, ask an adult to help remove it right away. Staying aware and taking these simple steps can help keep you safe and healthy while you enjoy the great outdoors! Let's enjoy the sunshine safely and make the most of these beautiful days!

RMS Student Council
"The RMS Student Council would like to thank all who helped to make the 8th Grade Semi such a success. First, we would like to thank the 8th grade parents, guardians, and grandparents who helped to set-up the gym, cafeteria, and hallways. All of your hard work made RMS look like New York City. You truly made the event amazing for all the students. Thank you to all the families who provided drinks and food for the semi. I don't think any students left hungry that night. Thank you to Ms. Detroia, Mrs. Nicholson, Mr. Boulanger, and Sgt. DeLuca for your help and expertise before, during, and after the semi. Thank you to the 8th grade teachers Leah Marshall, and Allyson Smith who helped with decorating and chaperoning and Michelle Shaw, Kayla Wark, Bri St. Pierre, Harris Navelski, Sandi McPadden, Missy Files, Allie, Files and Mr. Lalonde for chaperoning. Thank you Mrs. Mojica and her art classes for making a beautiful silhouette of New York City that was displayed in the gym. It was an amazing piece of artwork that helped to light up the gym. To our student council members, thank you for all of your hard work and help at the semi. I apologize if I missed anyone. We are so appreciative for everyone's help before, during, and after this huge event.
Sincerely,
The Student Council Advisors
