News of the Week
VVSD Spotlight- Diana Lugo, 5th Grade Teacher, Independence Elementary
When visiting the 5th grade classroom of Independence Elementary Multi Language teacher Diana Lugo, you had better bring some energy. In Diana’s classroom, you’ll do some singing along, dancing, and you also need to be ready to demonstrate your work and share your thoughts with your classmates.
Diana’s student experience as an English language learner, shaped how she would operate a classroom when her chance came to be a teacher. There’s also one more thing you might want to bring along with you to Diana’s classroom, and that is at least a working knowledge of the Star Wars movie franchise. May 4th is coming up and it is one of Diana’s favorite days of the year!
