Anna Yates TK-5 Student Activities

Dear Anna Yates Families,

Let’s get excited for Jog-a-thon! Our Fourth Annual Jog-a-thon is a one-day event where students will receive "sponsors" (mom/dad/grandparents/etc.) to donate to them as they run/walk/jog as many laps as possible in 20 minutes. Donations, big or small, every donation is appreciated and accepted! Donations will go directly towards their classroom specific student resources and activities such as increasing classroom libraries, busing for field trips, and more! So let’s get started! Here are the details:

• 9/23-10/9: Students are collecting sponsors (mom/dad/grandparents/aunts/uncles/etc.) to donate an amount for either every lap they complete or a “flat rate” for participating.

• 10/9: students will participate in the Jog-a-Thon, completing as many laps around the field that they can in 20 minutes. This is a free dress day so please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Family members are welcome to come and cheer them on while the grade level completes their laps! After they are done, a letter will go home stating how many laps each student completed.

• 10/9-10/16: students will be given a week to collect their donations from their sponsors (flat donations can be collected earlier).

• 10/17: envelopes with all donation amounts will be returned to the classroom teacher. The virtual donation on go.rallyup.com/ayesjogathon2024 will stay open through 10/20.

• 10/31: we will announce top runners per grade, top fundraisers per grade level, and the class who raises the most money will receive a classroom prize
