WEEK 33 EDITION - 4/28/25-5/2/25
PV NJSLA REMINDER
NJSLA (state testing) begins next week at PV. As previously shared, the dates are as follows:
- May 6 and 7 - ELA
- May 13 and 14 - Math
- May 20 and 21 - Science - 8TH GRADE ONLY
We met with students throughout the week and reminded them of the following:
- Be present and on time - the make up testing window is limited
- Bring their charged Chromebook each day
- No electronic devices other than a school issued Chromebook in the testing room
- Bring their best effort with them every day
It is important to remember that NJSLA scores are used to assist in placement of courses in future years. The previously shared letter contains all relevant information: 24-25 PV NJSLA Letter

UPCOMING PV MUSIC AND ART SHOWS
Please note the following spring music and art events. Both will take place at PTHS on the following dates and time (the art show will only be on Tuesday, May 6th):
- Tuesday, May 6th - 6:30 - All grade level bands and art show
- Thursday, May 8th - 6:30 - All grade level choirs (no art show)

2025 PV FIELD DAY DONATIONS

HOME AND SCHOOL INFORMATION
The last PV HSA meeting of the year will be May 12th at 10:00 A.M. This is also when voting for next year's executive board takes place. Please see the attached letter for more information.
FROM THE NURSE'S OFFICE
Schools are required to share the following information with parents each year. Please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Komeshok with any questions.
N.J.S.A. 18A:40-42 requires public schools to annually distribute a fact sheet to parents or guardians of students in grade seven about the causes, symptoms and means of transmission of HPV, and where additional information can be obtained. The distribution of either the fact sheet about vaccination against HPV and/or HPV vaccine information for parents is acceptable.

PV ATTENDANCE REMINDER
All attendance-related emails must be sent to pvattendance@pequannock.org or call the attendance line directly @ 973-616-6050 (option #2).
If a parent receives a Robocall after 9:00 A.M., this means that the school received neither an email nor a phone call pertaining to their absence. If you receive this call, you must contact the school.
