WEEKLY PREVIEW
January 25, 2025
Hello, Longwood Families!
Thank you to the many families who joined us last night for our Winter Wonderland Silent Auction and Trivia Night! Your enthusiasm and support made the event a huge success, and weβre so grateful for our Longwood PTA for putting together such a fun evening!
π¦π Join Us for the Walking Bus!
Our Walking Bus Program is in full swing! Walking with a group provides so many benefits for our Lions:
- Improved attendance: Starting the day with friends encourages on-time arrival to school.
- Healthy habits: Walking is a fun way to get moving in the morning!
- Social connections: Students build friendships and enjoy a sense of community by walking with their classmates and Longwood teachers.
- Increased safety: Walking Bus Teachers provide supervision while students navigate crossing streets and neighborhood sidewalks.

πΌπCollege and Career Day β Volunteers Wanted!
Mark your calendars for Friday, April 11th, as we host our annual College and Career Day! This event inspires our students to think about their future goals and introduces them to the many pathways available after high school.
- Volunteers will share a 10-15 minute presentation with individual classes about their college, career, or company. Students in grades K-5 will participate. Additional FAQs Here
- The event will run from 8:30-2:30pm on Friday, April 11th. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. We know your time is valuable, so if all day is not an option, we are happy to coordinate your visit at a time that works best for you.
Weβd love representation from a wide variety of fields, including:
- Technical schools and trades
- Military service
- Medical professions
- Technology and innovation:
- Service industries
- Beauty and cosmetology
We appreciate your continued support and engagement. Have a wonderful weekend, Lions!
Thank you for being a part of our Pride!
