First Day Packet Must Be Completed Prior To Getting Your Child's Schedule!
IMPORTANT REMINDER: YOU MUST COMPLETE THE BACK TO SCHOOL UPDATE /FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL PACKET ONLINE FOR 2024/25 IN ORDER TO RECEIVE YOUR CHILD's SCHEDULE:
On an annual basis, Redwood City School District (RCSD) families review and provide new information to their child's First Day of School Packet. This packet of information is an important step as it helps families with the following:
- Provide any medical information to their child's school,
- Provide emergency contact information to their child’s school,
- Access to any new and/or updated Board of Trustees policies, and
- Determines resources and services for RCSD students in a variety of areas in addition to children having access to healthy and nutritious meals at school. Depending on the number of families who complete the survey, it will determine several other services and resources such as school library services, school funding, internet access, and teacher grants.
Please complete the Student Benefit Form and First Day Packet Update as soon as possible:
What’s a snapcode?
The snapcode is like a key to your child’s 2023-2024 First Day of School Packet for the upcoming school year. You should receive a unique snapcode or snapcode link for each child.
Please check your email, you should have received each child's unique snap code via an email from the district office.
Como Llenar El Paquete de Primer DíaFirst Day Packet Link
This school year, the Department of Communications and Community Engagement has already launched the First Day of School Packet via email to all incoming and returning families.
Families should check their email inbox for a specific snapcode for each child. The First Day of School Packet completion is MANDATORY for each child. Students will be placed in the Expanded Learning Opportunity Program(e.g., REACH, YMCA, Siena Youth Center) only after they complete the First Day of School Packet as questions in the packet determine eligibility. Because the Student Benefit Form (formerly known as the “lunch application”) is now embedded in the First Day of School Packet, the Dept. of Community Schools and Partnerships will be using information from the First Day of School Packet to determine criteria for the Expanded Day Program. They will be checking the completion of the Student Benefit Form in the First Day of School Packet to move forward with our Expanded Day Program process.
Reminder: Parents will not be able to get your child's schedule at MAZE Day (Friday, August 9) unless the First Day Packet is completed.
